World's Fastest Electric Car?

Do you know what it feels like driving and traveling at 370 mph (miles per hour)? A French automobile company called Venturi has been recently working on this. This 'bullet' is known as the Venturi Buckeye Bullet 3 (VBB-3) but looks  a lot like a spacecraft. Surprisingly, this form of car robotics doesn't involve a normal car motor, it uses  battery charging. This still in working car project was designed and made by students from Ohio Sate University which is more than 11 meters long, has an outstanding 3,000 horsepower in the hood, and has a traveling speed of 370 mph (600 kph). "The speed, for sure, is like nothing else on Earth." lead project engineer Delphine Biscaye told CNN. The engineers in developing this not ONLY try to go for breaking records, (Formula E world's all electric race series) but it is also about finding and developing new technologies, which I also think is really absolutely true. (Besides breaking records, I wonder what else is the VBB-3 is going to be used for?) The student engineers that developed and made this vehicle alive, are now working for high automobile companies for instance like: Ford, and even NASA. Everybody is working for big industries, after the engineering that they have conducted and constructed. "We are working with a lot of local companies. It's exciting to see (them) and the people of Monaco are showing real interest in our project, because it's not only a land speed project but also an electric and green ambition." says Delphine Biscaye. For Biscaye, the Venturi motto "Powered by Innovation" rings all too true. Click here to see the article!

Thoughts, Ideas and Opinions

After reading this article, it is a really interesting topic to be looking at. I mean nowadays, more automobile companies and industries are finding better and 'greener' solutions to the fact that regular cars are releasing CO2 (Carbon Dioxide), to where you are charging your own car. However, besides the VBB-3 being a 'green' car, it is outstanding how this vehicle can travel over 370 mph, so this means that this is NOT your average car that you can drive in the streets. In particular, what stood out to me the most, was that this whole vehicle was powered by battery charging. In my opinion, I think that besides this car 'bullet' being used in the Formula E series race, other than breaking velocity records, what other purpose will this vehicle be used for? I mean, who is going to use a fast car, and for what reason? It is a cool form of engineering, but I think what will most likely be used more than the ACTUAL car itself, is the technology, and design that went INTO the creation of the 'bullet.'  The vehicle is nice and fast, but who else in the world is going to use a fast car, and for what particular purpose?

I agrre with it too because who would use a fast car? And a long one too especially for parking?

Yeah I know right!? I mean, so far this very rapid vehicle is currently being used as an experiment? Imagine if today we have cars in the streets that can go that FAST?! Would there be even MORE car accidents?

The shape of the car is aerodynamic right? Which make's it go faster ?

Bill, yes the shape of this car is aerodynamic, which DOES indeed make it go faster. If you have skinny narrow objects, they can travel at a much faster momentum, they include an increase amount of torque, and goes at a faster pace!

I also agree. I mean people are always in hurry but who would need a car that travels over 370 mph?

Leslie, I know right?! This vehicle has a nice design and several interesting features, but WHO in the world would want to travel at a very fast rate? I think this car would be very helpful for the people who are ALWAYS running late to work, or to anywhere! I mean, this is still and ongoing project, and is being used in a racing competition with other cars.
