What would happen if any ordinary person would be able to go visit space? This would mean more discoveries, and not only astronauts that are going into space. A new spaceship from spaceflight company Virgin Galactic, (headquarters in Long Beach, California) have recently and stunningly unveiled their new spaceship called after the one and only, Stephen Hawking. (Click here to learn more about Stephen Hawking) This spaceship is called VSS Unity, and was designed to carry two pilots and six passengers. Stephen Hawking claims that he wants to fly on this spaceship in a recorded message, and says "We are entering a new space age." VSS Unity was made to take customers to flights into space in the next few years. The day that the flights were going to start has been delayed multiple times due to the testing flight on October 31st, 2014 that resulted into a space crash killing one of the two pilots on board. In the article released by MOTHERBOARD, it states that the Virgin Galactic spaceship wouldn't blast off straight into space, but that the team that designed the ship are going to make sure all the parts go and work together perfectly. I am guessing that the team is being extra careful because they don't want the same accident to occur again. Along with this, there will be constant test-flights involved before it used. VSS Unity will be able to go 45,000 feet up during the test drives, but will most likely end up going up to  50 mies. There are safeguards that will enforce safety rules to prevent another fatal accident, and it will NOT be able to be used once it is considered 100% safe. It seems like Virgin Galactic is strongly enforcing the safety on VSS Unity.

Wow. I am now thinking to myself, that in the future I will now be able to go to space! Who ever thought of that? I think that this is a step even further into the newest advanced technology that mankind has developed. I can tell that in order to design and create this spaceship, it must've taken a long time to go through and develop. Now to actually build it, that must've taken a lot of money and time in order to accomplish. Also, a physicist like Stephen Hawking  who is really excited and eager to fly this ship, shows that the VSS Unity is going to be something big that people are going to perceive and actually take in. Since the ship ONLY has six passenger seats, I think that maybe Virgin Galactic should work on adding more space available because since this is going to be such a big deal, I'm guessing that a lot of people are going to want to buy a ticket to enter and aboard the ship into space. There is only a limited amount of seats, and I think that purposely this was made like this because most likely the cost to ride this ship is going to be a little bit pricey and expensive. Since the engineers who developed the ship are strictly pushing the safety rules, I think that this is VERY IMPORTANT because NOT ONLY due to what had happened on October 31st, 2014 to prevent it from happening again, but that the passengers just NEED to be safe. Personally, when I am older I would indeed would LOVE to ride this spaceship because now I know that any person doesn't NEED to be an astronaut in order to go to space. (I can't wait!)
